The k6 telephone kiosk was designed by sir giles gilbert scott in 1935 to celebrate the silver jubilee of king george v. The k6 was the first model to be installed in any great number nationwide.

We take pride in the restoration of these uniquely british items as they are part of our national heritage; we use the most modern methods during refurbishment to cause the least damage to both these wonderful items and the environment in general.

Our team has over a centuries experience between them in the care and restoration of such treasures from the moment we source them to the moment they are delivered to your door. We treat these architectural wonders with awe and respect.

  • British Red Telephone Boxes

    Our Original Red Cast Iron Telephone Boxes are typical of what makes the British Isles unique. These along with a few other items are a great part of our long standing British heritage.Every overseas visitor to London expects to see a Red Telephone Box and a Red London Bus.In 1935 the k6 telephone kiosk was designed to commemorate the Silver Jubilee of King George V.The Classic Red Telephone Box was installed across the country to give ordanary people access to the ever popular telephone system when they could not afford to have one installed in their homes.A Red Telephone Box had a coin box to take 4 old pennies which were returned to you if you did not recieve an answer.These coin boxes are now very rare and sell for appox £300/£400There are 2 different cyphers (crowns) types which can be found on the K6. These being either the crown of King George or Elizabeth II.  Each Telephone Box before dispatch has with following refurbishedment work carried out.All the glass along with any silican/putty is fully removed.The woodern/cast iron door is removed for any repairs and reglazing.  The old Telephone signs are removed and replaced with new.All internal fittings are removed, the back board is respayed and then refitted.Each Telephone Box is fully grit blasted, after which it is primed and respayed red, the base is spayed black.The roof of the interiour is spayed white.The external crowns are hand pained in gold.Each box is then fitted the ether new ot refurbished cast iron frames to hold the glass along with new glass.Each telephone box has a working door closerThe Full restoration is carried out in our workshops.Weight: 750 KG per boxLocal Delivery within 100 miles of Canterbury laying flat on our own vehicle.£150.00. will need forklift or other means of unloading.Full UK and Worldwide delivery also available.Hihab vehicle  delivery also available.We have sent these Telephone Boxes to many strange places throughout the World  to be used for many various applications.Refurbishment time is normally approx 6/8 weeks but in busy times can be longer.We have a fast track service at extra cost.Please call/email us to place an order or for any futher information.We also sell many spares to fit within origianl Red Telephone Boxes.New Glass,Cast Iron Glass Frames,Door Straps,Frame Pins,Old and New Telephone Signs,Some Internal metal sign frames.Call for more infomation.FREEPHONE UK    0800 0433012CALL FROM ABROAD 00 44 1227 767453OPEN 7 DAYS
