Over 150 period and historical designed cast iron backs. Fire backs have used since 14th century. In early times a fireplace was never complete without a cast iron fireback protecting the internal chimney brickwork and sending the heat in to the room.

They were used in open fireplaces to help reflect heat back into the room and improve its efficiency.

Also used to protect fireplace from bursts and other damage.

Firebacks are also very decorative and were used to enhance their surrounding.
